Trays provide a wonderful and practical substrate for mosaic art. They can incorporate stained glass, leftover kitchen tiles, tiles bought on travels, broken pottery, or other foraged glass and ceramic tiles. My first mosaic project, done with my daughter who was then a pre-teen, was a tray that formed the start of a never-realized business called, "Tray Bien."
